Pronouncing the trade fair and conference open, Mr. Miodrag Jocic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure, said those events were held in Belgrade for the third time, but those within geodesy were already expected to become traditional. Mr. Jocic pointed out, the Ministry he came from supported such a fair event and considered the organization holder should be the Serbian Geodetic Institute. He invited the professional publics and all interested parties to the three day conference, where various scientific studies and projects would be presented.

- INTERGEO EAST is a fair event, at which 80 local and international exhibitors will feature the latest solutions, programs and equipment used within land management and, in addition to many trade topics we are going to process, we shall present also the latest worldwide activities and pilot projects, said Mr. Zoran Krejovic, CEO of the Serbian Geodetic Institute, at the press conference.
- The Institute’s strategy is directing the activities to the regular resource management, which is the basis of building a modern society and our most important activity in the forthcoming period is further setting of the real estate cadastre.

The INTERGEO EAST Conference Director, Mr. Ivan Aleksic, said that among the 50 authors who sent their studies, 30 of them came from abroad. Eighteen thousand licensed geodesy engineers were included in the activities of the Conference in different ways and topics from three fields would be processed – geodesy, geoinformation and land management.
