- If we manage to make at least a small step and contribute to a better functioning of the SMEs and entrepreneurship, we shall be able to say the BUSINESS BASE 2008 has succeeded, said Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic, Belgrade Fair General Manager.                                                                         – We attempt to foster the partnership relations to the small and medium sized enterprises and entrepreneurs and expect them to feature in the best possible way. This is a fair of ideas, the one intended for those thinking how to employ themselves at this moment and in the future, perhaps, also someone else. During this event, important life important decisions are being taken and we want to provide the best possible conditions for such activities.

A great assistance and support in the BUSINESS BASE organization was provided by the Republic SME and Entrepreneurship Development Agency and Mr. Goran Dzafic, Managing Director of the Agency, says the Fair is the right place, where the small businessmen and entrepreneurs gather once a year, check what they did in the previous period and define their plans and objectives for the following year.

- BUSINESS BASE is a great opportunity for the promotion of products and services of the SMEs and entrepreneurship and since the small ones have the problem of featuring themselves independently, Belgrade Fair and the SME and Entrepreneurship Development Agency enable their mutual participation in this event, says Mr. Dzafic. – A specific characteristic of this event is the youth entrepreneurship, the mutual project of the Ministry of Economics and Regional Development and the Ministry of Youth and Sport. The idea is to inform the young people of the entrepreneurship secrets and offer them the possibility of checking, if they are ready to enter their own business. Another important project is credits for beginners.

This year’s BUSINESS BASE will feature more than 300 exhibitors, co-exhibitors and institutions. The visitors will be able to visit their products and services on November 27 – 29, in the Hall 14, at more than 4.5 thousand square meters. As stated by Mr. Ostoja Ilic, Project Manager, an increased competitiveness of these enterprises is characteristic for this year’s event, as well as an increased number of beginners among the exhibitors and an intensified development of the entrepreneurship culture. Cities and local self managements will feature their successful entrepreneurs and an important place will be taken also by the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, under whose auspices many exhibitors will feature themselves respectively.

An important section of this event is also the professional side event program, including many seminars, workshops, presentations and exhibitions.

Briefly, there are many reasons, for which all those dealing with the small business and entrepreneurship or intend to do so, should visit the BUSINESS BASE – at this event, they will collect the necessary information for market gaining, improve the existing business contacts and make the new ones, increase the business scope and ensure a more stable position for their enterprise or workshop.
