The first and largest military scientific research institution in Serbia, the Military Technical Institute, with a six decades long tradition, successfully develops new arms and military equipment and modernizes the existing ones for all sections of the Serbian Army. About 1,300 items of arms and military equipment were developed and sent to use so far in this institution. A part of this great arsenal has been displayed also at this year’s PARTNER event.

The MILICA modular robot system is a new defense ‘device’, shown as a premiere at the Defense Fair, as a work of the expert team of the Military Technical Institute. It is a highly efficient wireless remote control contemporary system for the close range anti-tank combat, on an unmanned caterpillar vehicle.

The airplane for the combat plane pilot’s basic training Lasta (Swallow) 95 had its first flight in February this year and it has its presentation to 30 international military delegations and the local audience also at the PARTNER 2009. The Sparrow mini unmanned plane, efficient in the reconnaissance operations, is displayed at Belgrade Fair till June 5, at the stand of high scientific institution, in the Hall 3, in addition to 38 exhibits of the Military Technical Institute’s product range.
