Profitable Flowers and Fruit
Profitable Flowers and Fruit Only two hours following the opening of the Tourism Fair, two more events were opened at Belgrade Fair – 12th International Horticultural Fair and 10th International Fair "The Gifts of Nature". Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, both these shows have gathered a large number of exhibitors from the country and the region. The Belgrade Fair partner in the realization of these fairs has been the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.

Anđelko Trpković, General Manager of Belgrade Fair has pointed out at the Festive Opening that these beautiful shows have developed from the accompanying exhibitions into the serious Fair events.

He has praised the obvious efforts of the exhibitors, making their stands an attractive display for the audience.

"These fairs have several important dimensions", said Danilo Golubović, State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. "The Horticulture is the field that can bring a considerable profit into Serbia, while providing conditions for employing a large number of people through the development of small and medium enterprises."

Supporting all aspects of domestic manufacturing as well as recognition of domestic brands and products are the motives for the Ministry of Agriculture to become the general sponsor of these shows. We talk about the high quality products which Serbia is offering in the fields of horticulture, production of honey, fruit growing, vine and vegetable growing.

The abundant Accompanying Programme will be featuring numerous presentations and talks in the field of new technologies and trends, while the competitions will give this event a new dimension. Secondary agricultural schools from proper Serbia will show the know-how and skills in the flower arrangements.

The regional horticultural conference will take place on the first Fair day – 26th April, with the guests from Slovenia, Hungary, BIH and Macedonia.
