Enough Gas, Prices Likely to be Lower
Enough Gas, Prices Likely to be Lower Energy topics always attract great attention among the citizens and economists, especially when winter and heating season are approaching. This is why the representatives in the industry have taken opportunity at 5th International Energy Fair to inform the public, besides business contacts and exchange of experiences, on the energy supply and further plans in the sector.

Public Enterprise Srbijagas has announced at the ENERGY FAIR 2009 Press Conference , that in case of a new gas crisis the users from Serbia will be provided with safe suppliy of gas in the period of 60 days. Dusan Bajatovic, General Manager of Srbijagas, has explained that the subground gas storage in Banatski dvor has 300 million cubic litres of gas, while the Hungarian gas storage would provide another 200 million cubic litres. With the use of certain quantities of masut, the heating plants will be able to supply the households, remote heating systems and strategic industrial users.

Bajatovic also pointed out  that the gas prices for the households are likely to be lower, but this has to be mutually decided by the Serbian Government, Agency for Energy and Srbijagas. Affordable conditions will soon be introduced for the heating plants as well, which will gain the status of the qualified buyer, based on which the gas will cost appr. 4 din per 1cubic litre less, compared to the current price.
