Amusement Magic Charms with Shopping and Culture
Amusement Magic Charms with Shopping and Culture AMUSEMENT MAGIC CHARMS is the name of this year’s 49th International New Year’s Fair, held at Belgrade Fair on December 11 – 27. With the cultural/amusing and commercial features, the visitors have the opportunity of meeting the capital’s museum features at one place this year.

-    We know this year’s slogan is not correct  - ‘Museums are In Again’, but we want it to become a correct one and actually initiate this trend, said Mr. Miroslav Petrovic, Department Manager. – This year, the event includes more than 200 exhibitors and it has been divided into three units – Amusement Park, The Consumer Goods Show and the Museum Cultural Heritage. Thus, this specialized trading and amusement event gains a new dimension, offering a good time to the audience with very diverse interests.
The Amusement Park has been returned to the Hall 1 this year and the consumer goods will be displayed in the Halls 1A and 2, at A and C levels. In the Hall 3, there will be the exhibitions of the Military Museum, the Aviation Museum, The Nikola Tesla Museum, the Science and Technique Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the Film Library, the Pedagogic Museum, the Nature Study Museum and the RTS Museum under set up.

Featuring the amusement industry and park, drawing annually great attention of the visitors and traditionally organized by the Nomad agency, Mr. Vasa Zupanjevac said 37 facilities were situated at 17.5 thousand square meters and the sections for children, youth and the adults were actually separated, for security reasons. With the note that all features were tested and the security was at an extremely high level, Mr. Zupanjevac said each bought ticket was valid as a coupon and the driving prices were RSD.30.00 – 100.00 also this year, other than a few extraordinary facilities costing RSD.150.00 respectively.

Mr. Ljubomir Rakocevic, Market Manager, transferred his experience to the journalists that ‘a New Year’s Fair was not the fair if one could not also buy something there’. He said the exhibitors realized that only competitive manufacturers and sellers ‘could pass’ at the New Year’s Fair. Thus, they announced considerable discounts there.
MUSEUMS – THE EXHIBITIONS ANNOUNCEMENT
Mr. Slavko Spasic, the Nature Study Museum CEO:
-    The Museum Fair could be also a separate event at Belgrade Fair, since only we have got about two million exhibits. This event will feature Kika, the skeleton of a local mammoth from Kikinda, but I would like to announce this exhibit will be just a part of the International Ice Age Exhibition, which will travel throughout the world. This is an excellent way to feature our culture abroad.

Mr. Milan Mijatovic, the Military Museum Deputy Managing Director:
-    We are not at the Fair for the first time, but the museum exhibitions will be available for a wide range of visitors at this event. We shall feature a motor pool part of Josip Broz Tito, the President of the SFRY, and as an exclusive point, we would stress the Rolls Royce Phantom and the armored Mercedes Benz, unique in the world. All cars are rare in the national, but also worldwide range and they are technically the most luxurious and perfect vehicles of their time. They are quite proper and ready for driving.

Mr. Zoran Milicevic, the Aviation Museum Deputy Managing Director:
-    Our objective is to feature some of the exhibits not within the permanent exhibition. The visitors will be able to see the Shtirman airplane, called by us the Actor, since it was used in the production of many films and advertisements, then a local plane and various pilot equipment.

Ms. Sonja Zimonjic, the Science and Technique Museum CEO:
-    We have existed for 20 years and we are trying to protect the technical heritage, but also to feature it to the publics. At the Fair, we are displaying two large items – Locomobile, the steam machine from the beginning of the 20th century, used in the agriculture and the tractor HSCS Robuste 25, manufactured in Hungary, in 1935, and we shall also feature about thirty another items from various science and technique fields.

Ms. Aleksandra Levnajic, Public Relations Manager of the Ethnographic Museum:
-    We are pleased to meet the Belgrade Fair’s invitation and have decided to tell a winter story – we shall feature 20 of 450 sheepskin coats we have got and about thirty gloves. We have also prepared 11 films about Serbia, Serbian village and villagers, the outgoing habits. Our custodians will be at the stand all the time, providing the interested visitors with any desired information.

Ms. Gordana Pavlovic Lazarevic, a custodian at the Pedagogic Museum:
-    Our museum is old and it keeps the memory on everything in the history of schooling and education. Due to the diverse audience visiting Belgrade Fair, we had difficulties to decide what to feature, but we selected a classroom at the end of the 19th century. By a scenery game we shall present various situations and educational measures applied in that time period and the exhibition From Kastiges to the Children Rights will be the central section of the ambient.

Ms. Bojana Andric, RTS Museum under set up:
-    The RTS Museum has not been formally set up yet, but we shall attempt to feature in an interesting way the historiography of TV Belgrade – we shall make a labyrinth from large panels from the resource of the editorial board.
