The International Prevention and Emergency Management Fair – 112 EXPO, was festively opened at Belgrade Fair and it will last till Friday,September 17.

The event patrons are Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia -Sector of Emergency Management and Ministry of Labour and Social Policy - Department for Safety and Health at Work and this 37th review included more than 80 local and worldwide exhibitors. The 112 EXPO Fair featured the most diverse rescue and emergency management equipment, but the prevention culture promotion has got a great importance, as well. Already traditionally, the organizers prepared an extensive professional side event program, many presentations and demonstration practices.

Pronouncing the Fair open, Mr. Predrag Maric, Assistant Minister of Interior and the Head of the Sector of Emergency Management, said the number of exhibitors and the gathered visitors confirmed the conscience growth on the importance of this branch:

-We are quite happy that this Fair became traditional and by the end of the year, we shall have, like all EU countries, also a unique emergency calling  number – 112. Serbia wants to be a part of the European family and the introduction of this number is a must and one of the technical conditions for the entry into the EU.

Mr. Zoran Martinovic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, spoke of the importance of the prevention culture promotion and protection at work,as well. He said the basic EU stipulations in this branch had already been implemented in the national legal system and the prevention provided results, but the care of workers in the most diverse segments had to be increased further.
