Marking its 35th anniversary, the International Fair of Medicine and Stomatology was opened at Belgrade Fair in the Hall 4, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, with the slogan "For Healthier Living". Medident has gathered almost one hundred domestic and foreign exhibitors, cherishing the traditional concept with a strong humanitarian and education feature.

More than an exhibition of medical and dental achievements, MEDIDENT showcases a clear connection between medicine and technology. Medicine is a several centuries old science, but has flourished in the last few decades owing to the use of the new technologies. The Fair will present them together considering the significance of the state-of-the-art technologies and achievements in medicine. "This is not a surprise since health workers, manufacturers of medical and dental equipment are all engaged in the  efforts to preserve good health," said Nevena Karanovic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Health during the Opening Ceremony.

Pointing to the fact that all participants of the event are in the service of health, Nevena Karanovic said that MEDIDENT is an opportunity for the new business contacts, promotion of products and medical services. The Ministry of Health will have daily promotions of one of its four activities: "Prolongue Life" – the support to the programme of organ transplatation, "Serbia Against Cancer", "The World Food Day" – the prevention of obesity and "Traditional Medicine".
