Boris Strel Opened the Expo Zim

The jubilant 25th International Fair of Winter Sport Equipment, Tourism and Recreation was festively opened at Belgrade Fair. At the EXPO ZIM event, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of  the Republic of Serbia and under the cooperation with the Sport for All Association, more than 80 local and worldwide exhibitors feature this year. Till Sunday, December 5, in the Halls 1 and 1A, the winter sport fans may look at an extensive offer of new and used sport equipment, travel arrangements and services and enjoy the sport/entertainment features.

-EXPO ZIM is an excellent opportunity to promote the winter recreation sport, which is important especially for children and youth, although we haven’t got great competition results in it, said Ms. Snezana Samardzic-Markovic, Minister of Youth and Sport in the Government of Serbia.
-The exchange of used sport equipment is an important segment of this event and it is a very good message it brings – also an expensive sport may be available for many people. Just this is also the message of the Sport for All Association, the co-organizer of the International Fair of Winter Sport Equipment, Tourism and Recreation.

The Fair was pronounced open by Mr. Boris Strel, the famous Slovenian alpine skier, the first Yugoslav medal winner at the World Championships and the first Yugoslav World Cup Winner.

Having pointed out it was an honor to attend such an important event in the region, where anyone can find something for himself, Mr. Boris Strel signed “The Most Valuable Ski in the World” in front of many visitors and cameras. This is the ski signed in the previous five years by the EXPO ZIM Guests of Honor, the sportsmen who marked the ski sport. Thus, from now on, in addition to the signatures of Ingemar Stenmark, Alberto Tomba, Bojan Krizaj and Mateja Svet on the ski, there is also the one of Boris Strel.
