The 9th International Fair of Entrepreneurship BUSINESS BASE has been festively opened at Belgrade Fair, gathering more than 300 entrepreneurs and all the largest institutions dealing with the development of small and medium companies.
Announcing the co-financing of the entrepreneurship projects aiming to create the solid and competitive export sector through the know-how and innovations, Ivica Ezdenci, Director of the National Agency for Regional Development, said that small and medium enterprises have been severely hit by the crisis and going through a difficult period. Better news come from the SME, since more than a half of the poll questionary are planning new investments and equipment, while a third has announced expansion of their business.
Branka Radovanovic, Director of the Informatics Company PC Tek, the organiser of this year’s first informative incubator for SME within the programme of the European reconstruction and development bank, has welcomed the participants and visitors of the BUSINESS BASE Fair. She said that the aim of this project is the transfer of knowledge to the firms which have ideas for the new businesses, emphasizing that Serbia can become a major exporter of the informatic services. PC Tek is the good example, having started the business with 3 employees, it now has 127 of which 120 are programmers. The company’s main country of export is USA.
