Belgrade will be a candidate for the European Culture Capital 2020. The Protocol of Cooperation on this project was signed by Mr. Dejan Veselinov, CEO of the Tourism Organisation of Belgrade and Mr. Aleksandar Pekovic, Deputy City Secretary of Culture and the President of this project Organization Board.

Such presentation considerably contributes to the promotion of the Serbian capital in the culture branch and an intensive cooperation of the two city organizations has become official, as pointed out during the Protocol signing. Belgrade has many things to offer and the utmost efforts within the tourism activities of the Serbian capital in the following period will be put to the preparations for candidacy for receiving this prestigious title. In addition to the having a good time at night and smiling people, Belgrade will be featured also as a culture city with a great historical heritage.
