The Building Trade Fair – The Recovery Proof

Under the slogan We Move Limits, the 37th International Building Trade Fair SEEBBE takes place on April 12 – 16, at Belgrade Fair. At this largest and most important civil engineering event in the region, there are more than 900 exhibitors, a third of them from 29 countries of Europe, Asia and America.

Pointing out the event importance, Ms. Mirjana Jovanovic, Project Manager, said the Building Trade Fair was four times larger than 15 years ago, since it has been organized as an independent exhibition, six times larger by the number of international exhibitors and visited by ten times more visitors.

-This year’s Fair scope, in the crisis period, is a real success, especially if it is known the crisis reflects most drastically just in this branch, said Ms. Mirjana Jovanovic.
-A great interest of the exhibitors may be a good sign – starting the construction operations shows the general recovery, since 70% of the economy works for civil engineering and we also expect more than 50 thousand visitors. First of all, we expect a great business visit and professionals are a very broad term in the construction industry –from those producing the design, up to the facility finishing work experts.

Six countries will feature this year through the traditional National Exhibitions – Italy, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary, and the German Free State of Bavaria is preparing a Regional Exhibition.

Like every year, in addition to the exhibitors, featuring at 60 thousand square meters in eight halls, at the outdoor space the visitors will be able to see construction machinery, prefabricated houses, formworks, scaffoldings, concrete goods and swimming pool equipment.

Also this year, the SEEBBE includes the most successful representatives of all branches of the construction industry, promoting the latest materials, equipment, tools and machinery, design and project management innovations, up to those featuring to the audience the current construction systems, facility furnishing and maintenance, adapting, reconstruction and interior decoration.

Mr. Bojan Kovacic, Deputy Director of the Energy Efficiency Agency of the Republic of Serbia, also confirmed the tradition, reputation and rating were the baselines of the Building Trade Fair:

-We shall pay special attention also this year to the energy efficiency in the house construction, we shall try to show many construction methods, how to spend as little energy as possible and have the same living and business conditions. This theme was intentionally selected, since the Government of the Republic of Serbia pronounced 2011 the energy efficiency year and a day before the Fair, the Energy Efficiency Week begins in Serbia, as well. Within the Building Trade Fair Side Event Program, we shall also deal with the legal regulations, since we support passing the Energy Rational Spending Law, which will define the rights, obligations and the model of the energy management.

Processing these current topics by the experts within the Side Event Program was announced also by Mr. Aleksandar Djelic from the Energy Management Development Center and Mr. Aleksandar Opsenica, Editor of the Energy Efficiency Conference. In addition to legal frames and current project promotion, the Fair will feature the opportunities for these projects financing, as well.

The New Vision and Special Recognition are the traditional prizes awarded by Belgrade Fair in five product groups at the Building Trade Fair, with the objective of supporting the new technical/technological solution exhibiting.

The Press Conference in the VIG PLAZA BuildingThe journalists had the opportunity to see the best the Serbian construction staff is dealing with just at the Press Conference, where the 37th International Building Trade Fair SEEBBE was announced. The Conference took place in the VIG PLAZA Building, a so-called smart business building, with efficient energy. The building construction basically moved the construction limits. Perhaps, it would be adequately to say it is a building producing 75 percent of the necessary thermal energy itself. Thus, according to the current parameters, it saves 35 thousand Euros annually. This building, having a double façade at 90% of its space, managing all energy parameters itself and having the highest quality equipment in it, was constructed by IMPERIAL GRADNJA company and its subcontractors.
