One of the most prestigeous events in the region , 55th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements, will be held 9th – 13th May, at Belgrade Fair, gathering 700 exhibitors from 28 countries showcasing state-of-the-art technology in the fileds of automation, robotics, wireless communications, electrical engineering, electronics, lighting and processing equipment.
Pointing to the fact that some of the participants have been exhibiting for thirty years, Milena Ristic, Assistant to Project Manager of Technical Fair, said that this indicated a great interest among the businessmen. She also said that the Fair is organised in a tough economic environment and unfavourable conditions, but very challenging at the same time, emphasizing that a half of the exhibitors come from almost all European countries, as well as Japan, China and Korea.
Technical Fair will be highlighted by several national and group exhibitions. The national achievements will be presented by the Czech Republic, the German region of Hessen, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia.
Besides the group participation of the firms from the Valjevo region, also taking part is the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, organising the meetings among the business people from the CEFTA countries. Together with the Luxenbourg Chamber of Commerce and the German company Handwerk International, fully supported by the European Commission and European Company Network, Serbian Chamber of Commerce will stage the meetings among businessmen – b2fair.
This year, the Technical Fair will promote 170 technological innovation products, the most successful will be given the traditional Belgrade Fair award “A Step Into The Future”.
The Technical Fair presents a comprehensive Accompanying Programme featuring a number of expert projects, making this event a powerful business destination in the world of science.

The cooperation of CEFTA countries is very important for the economy of the regions, and the results of this cooperation show that Serbia sells 30% of its total export to the region, achieving 90% of the surplus. The aim of the separate stand is to present the member countries and promote the region’s economy, economic potentials, improvement of the business cooperation, increase of export and attract foreign investments.
STRAWBERRY TEAM
Among the participants at the Press Conference announcing the Technical Fair, were the three members of the STRAWBERRY TEAM – Uroš Uljarević, Bojana Borković and Kristina Nikolić. They are Serbian students who have, together with their colleagues from different faculties, designed and realized the solar charger for mobile phones. The solar charger was awarded as the cutting-edge useful product at the Competition organised by the European Commission in Brussels. The visitors at Belgrade Fair will have a unique opportunity to see this charger and use it for charging their phones.

Festive Opening: The Festive Opening Ceremony of 55th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements is on 9th May at 11.00a.m. in the Hall 1 – Belgrade Fair. The Fair will be opened by Dusan Petrovic, Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Opening hours:
10.00a.m. – 18.00p.m., and
10.00a.m. – 17.00p.m. on the last Fair day on Friday, 13th May.
