The 55th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements has been festively opened at Belgrade Fair and will last until 13th May, presenting 700 exhibitors, of which 28 from abroad, giving an opportunity for the visitors to view 170 technological innovations.

"The Technical Fair is the vital and significant event from its early beginning, back in 1937 when it gathered 300 thousand visitors, which exceeded the number of citizens in Belgrade at the time", said Dusan Petrovic, Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management in the Serbian Government. "The Fair’s moto „The Technical Knock-Out“ has a fighting spirit this year, meaning that all of us have to make an effort to overcome the crisis we haven’t provoked, as soon as possible. The largest drawback of the Serbian economy is unefficiency on the whole, which is why it is obvious why the Technical fair is so important. Using the achievements is a must, if we want to make a step forward, and live better."

Before announcing the 55th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements open, Dusan Petrovic said that the 2011 event will be highlighted by the national and group exhibitions, activities of the chambers and ministries of Serbia and participating countries, as well as the corporate meetings, and gatherings among the innovators and business partners.

Fair Donation to STRAWBERRY TEAM

The STRAWBERRY TEAM had its premiere presentation at the Technical Fair, as the team of students - innovators from different faculties, whose solar charger for mobile phones was awarded in Brussels recently and exhibited at Belgrade Fair.

Snezana Miljanic, General Manager of Belgrade Fair has given a donation worth 150.000 din to this nine-member successful team, at the Opening Ceremony, emphasizing that Belgrade Fair has always supported young and ambitious people.

Expressing his gratitude, Uros Uljarevic, representative of the STRAWBERRY TEAM has invited all the visitors at the Technical Fair to visit their stand in the Hall 2, Level A, and test their exhibit awarded in Brussels.
