The 7th International "Energy Fair 2011", and 8th International Fair of Environmental Protection - ECOFAIR will be held from 12th – 14th October at Belgrade Fair, as announced at the Press Conference. The events are organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, and Ministry of Human Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning supported by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Under the slogan “Naturally”, the Fair is gathering domestic and foreign companies who will present their products, services and activities in the Hall 1. Presenting the Energy Fair, Prof. Dr.Milos Banjac, Assistant to Minister of Energetics, said that this event presents the Ministry and its activities and also contributes to the competitiveness, transparency and conquering the markets. The Energy Law will be of utmost importance, especially opening the market of power energy, defining energy efficiency and renewable resources of energy. Assistant Minister also said, that the Law on rational usage of electrical power is expected to be brought soon. On behalf of the Ministry of Human Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, Aleksandar Vesic, Assistant Minister said at the Press Conference that ECOFAIR is an opportunity to connect state and non-government sector,since the protection of environment is the mutual interest. All necessary legislations, strategies, rules and programmes were brought, but the harder part is still to come – the implementation, which has to involve the society as a whole. The Fair should be the venue for expert debates on current issues, which is to be presented within the Accompanying Programme. Electrical Power Industry of Serbia will appear at the Fair on four stands, and all parts of this system will present business results and development plans, as announced by Momcilo Cebalovic, EPS Public Relations Director. He said that the public will be informed with the planned reconstructions, investments and projects for the protection of environment. Slobodan Petrovic, Secretary of Power Energy Association of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, said that the sector’s representatives have been creating the environment for the last ten years for better and more efficient economic development, and that the Energy Fair is an opportunity for Serbia to showcase its readyness in the field. A fact that protection of environemnt is a task for every society has been proved by Prof. Dr Ilija Brceski, from the Chemical Faculty. He has explained that there were two systems for the quality control of the environment – the state control and control by accredited laboratories and that his task at the forthcoming Fair will be to connect the two sides. ECOFAIR is the place for making contacts and determing common grounds. Dr. Vladan Batanovic – Institute “Mihailo Pupin” addressed the audience on behalf of the Consortium for Consulting and Engineering in Energy. He said that Consortium is the significant part of energy and machine industry in the country comprising 14 companies, 10 thousand workers and 2,5 thousand people with university degrees, with the aim to successfully compete with the major electrical power projects. The Fair is the service of economy and largely contributes to the economic connection in the region, said Visnja Zivulj, Project Manager of the two Fairs. The expansion of the fairs are the best proof that Energy and Ecology are the issues of the modern era, in spite of the crisis. They have become respectful in the region, while four national exhibitions illustrate the economic cooperation – Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Economic Chamber of BIH, Participation of the Czech Republic and the premiere appearance of the businessmen from Romania. Belgrade Fair has given its support to the development of these sectors, by offering free entrance for the students and secondary school pupils. Besides domestic companies, ENERGY Fair and ECOFAIR have gathered the participants from: Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Bulgaria, Iceland, Romania, Federation BIH and Poland. The Opening Ceremony is on Wednesday, 12th October at 11 a.m. in the Hall 1, featuring Oliver Dulic, Minister of Human Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Serbia. Working hours are from 10 a.m to 18 p.m. and until 17 p.m. on the final day. Single ticket is 200 dinars, group tickets are 100 dinars. |
