His Excellency the Ambassador of Brazil, Mr. Alexandre Addor Neto, His Excellency the Ambassador of Portugal, Mr. Caetano Luis Pequito de Almedia Sampaio and His Excellency the Ambassador of Angola in Serbia, Mr. Toko Diankega Sera, estimated this year’s International Book Fair in Belgrade as an excellent beginning and a fantastic opportunity to translate 40 books from Portuguese language and make them closer to the readers in Serbia.

H. E. the Ambassador of Brazil, in whose Embassy a reception on the occasion of the Fair was held, estimated that, for the first time, eight countries are featured together, the Portuguese speaking ones, and that the Guest of Honor is not a country, but – a language.

H. E. the Ambassador, Mr. Neto said the Fair was a stimulus for translating the authors writing in Portuguese – the language spoken by more than 250 million people, the language used at four continents.
