Near the end of the Book Fair, it is time to summarize the results and feature this event in figures. They are not like in ‘the best times’, but the Book Fair is certainly a successful event, which had its faithful publics and many interested visitors. The number of visitors reached the figure 140 thousand this year. Ten thousand entry tickets were sold to companies, eight thousand invitation cards were issued for the event festive opening and the librarians received six thousand tickets. This year’s Book Fair was followed by 1,234 journalists, cameramen and photo reporters of the local and international media. They followed 332 programs, held in various conference halls and exhibitors’ stands. Hungary Took Over the OPEN BOOK By taking over the Open Book from His Excellency the Ambassador of Angola, the term and preparations of Hungary in realization of the prestigious and demanding role of the Guest of Honor at the Book Fair 2012 actually started. On the last of this year’s Book Fair, His Excellency the Ambassador of Angola, Mr. Toko Diankega Sera, handed over festively, on behalf of the Portuguese speaking countries, who were the Guests of Honor this year, through the language they speak, to His Excellency Mr. Oszkar Nikowitz, the Ambassador of Hungary, the country which will be the Guest of Honor at the 57th International Belgrade Book Fair.
