The 12th Charity Bazaar was held at Belgrade Fair, organized by the International Women’s Club Belgrade. Thirty five worldwide countries presented their products, souvenirs, tradition, culture and habits.
The Christmas Bazaar raised great interest of Belgrade inhabitants also this year, which is particularly important due to the fact that the entire income from stand sales and sold entry tickets goes for humanitarian purpose.
The funds collected here are intended for assistance to socially endangered categories of population, the persons with special needs, the old ones, education of Romani population and the struggle against human trafficking. 80,000 Euros were collected last year.
The products by which their countries are recognizable were displayed at the stand of the participating countries. In addition to various ‘minor items’ from the whole world, tasting of many specialties from their national cuisines was organized for the visitors, as well and this event is also recognizable by its cultural/entertaining and children programs.
The participants in this year’s get together of humanitarian ladies were from Greece, Sri Lanka, Angola, Egypt, Pakistan, Ghana, France, the Netherlands, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Austria, USA, UK, Ireland, Romania, Kuwait, Brazil, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Malaysia, Algiers, Australia, Hungary, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Denmark.
