- Neither the technological, nor the information boom should decrease the importance of books. Our liability is to bring the book back and then also keep it at the place where it always was – in the hands of teachers, pupils, students, citizens. This is the way to let the book keep its educational and human role, without denying the importance of electronic publications, said Mr. Lončar.

The Minister explained, the Government had proclaimed the year 2007 for the Year of Dositej Obradović, on the occasion of two centuries since his arrival at Serbia, having reminded it was the matter of an educator who was also the first Minister of Education in our country.
