Having pointed out Belgrade Fair as a good host, Mr. Milosavljevic said, for the Ministry of Agriculture, the event patron anyway, the ETHNIC FOOD Fair was not a common event, economic exhibition, and presentation of the local food products. It was significant also for the geographic origin protection, transformation of the small manufacturers into bigger and the higher quality ones, because the ETHNIC food was much more than food – it discovered customs, habits, recipes of once old meals and then specialties.
During the festive opening, attended by many invited personalities, the visitors were able at all stands to help themselves with the local specialties. Tasting of the old, little forgotten meals, will practically last as long as the ETHNIC FOOD Fair itself and within the side event program, many interesting happenings have been scheduled, as well. In addition to the exhibitors' stands, the visitors should certainly visit also the Ethnic Yard, find out which region won the daily Winner Lunch and "check" what the celebrities cook that day at Belgrade Fair. |
