Within the Side Event Program of the BUSINESS BASE event, an interesting and, first of all, useful Italian /Serbian project, INTERREG – SVILOPIM, will be featured.

This is a development and promotion project for the local support systems to the innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in Albania, Bosnia and Serbia. In October 2005, it was initiated by a group of important Italian institutions, among which the leading position belongs to the Faculty of Economics in Forli, University of Bologna. The most important Serbian partner is the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and the Manager is Professor Dr. Sinisa Zaric. The project plans also participation of the Novi Sad University, Secretariat for Economy of Vojvodina and the Non-Governmental organization Democratic Transition Initiative.

The project has been in the full implementation stage since June 1, 2007. More than 60 prospect entrepreneurs from Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Subotica and Belgrade has already passed the educational courses, performed by the professor and expert teams from Italy and Serbia.
