Alberto Tomba, a Skier Who Marked the 20th Century

Alberto Tomba (born on December 19, 1966) is a famous Italian Alpine skier. In his great carrier, he won 5 Olympic medals, among which 3 golden ones. He is also famous for his nickname Tomba la bomba.

He was competing in technical disciplines of the Alpine skiing – slalom and giant slalom. He dominated the world skiing in the 1980’s and 1990’s. He is famous for his special talent, skiing technique and strength. Tomba was the favorite of the audience, but also media, since he was interesting on the path and outside it, owing to his charisma in his public performances.
