If you had been able to look into Belgrade Fair Hall 3 on Wednesday, at noon, probably nothing would have been clear to you. It is not exactly a usual picture that the Fair Director, the organizers of the 46th NEW YEAR’S FAIR and numerous journalists sit in the "little crash cars", "speed up" and laugh. Neither those with a great journalist experience probably have got the privilege to praise such a game and work task, nor those following some attractive sectors.

The uniqueness and charm of this Press Conference cannot be disputed by anyone, but the data mentioned from the tiny cars are not less amusing, either. Actually, the sign was given to inform the citizens that the SUPER PARTY, which is the slogan of this year’s New Year’s Fair, may begin soon.

- The New Year’s Fair is our New Year’s present to all Fair visitors and there were more than 600 thousand of them this year, said Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic, General Manager of Belgrade Fair. – This entertainment event is dedicated to them for their faithfulness, since the New Year’s Fair is the right opportunity for the whole family to enjoy at least for one day, it is actually the introduction into the New Year’s Night, an opportunity to forget the ugly things from the previous year and enter the future in a nice manner. I am also sure there is no concert in the city for 150 Dinars and many popular performers will have them here. In addition to this, the New Year’s Fair is a place for convenient buying of consumer goods and gifts, an entertainment place for small children, young people and those who feel like this.

Explaining that the New Year’s Fair lasts six days longer than last year, from December 14 – 30, due to a great interest in it, Mr. Miroslav Petrovic, Project Manager, said the exhibiting halls 1 – 5 had been filled in up to the last square meter and the 298 exhibitors were located at almost 31 thousand square meters exhibiting space.

For an easier finding the way around, the organizers explained the entertainment parks were in the Halls 1 and 3, where the Hall 3 was intended only for small children, the A and B levels of the Hall 2 and the Halls 4 and 5 were reserved for consumer goods, whereas the S level of the Hall 2 would be the stage for cultural/entertainment and artistic programs.

The producer, Mr. Jovica Dimitirijevic, spoke about the musical program as a form part of the New Year’s Fair, saying the area with the stage and nice bars would be the right place for rest during the visit to other events at the New Year’s Fair. The daily program has been adapted to the requirements of children and young people, whereas the evenings are reserved for concerts. Mr. Dimitrijevic announced the concerts of the best known performers (you may look at the schedule in the side event program), a folklore festival and regular daily programs.

The representative of the Nomad agency, Mr. Vasa Zupanjevac, invited those interested in the entertainment and Entertainment Park into the Halls 1 and 3. They may enjoy the 36 facilities located at 28 thousand square meters at the previous ticket prices, varying from RSD.30 to 100.

Market Manager, Mr. Ljubomir Rakocevic, also confirmed that buying still was one of the reminders to the New Year’s Fair. Listing all the goods one can find at Belgrade Fair in these days before the New Year, as usually stated – anything from a needle to a locomotive, he said a great competition among the private manufacturers should be expected and, as everyone knew, it brought great discounts and sales.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The festive opening of the New Year’s Fair is on Friday, December 14, at 6.00 p. m., with the already traditional fireworks. The Fire Director invited the visitors to attend this attractive event with champagne, boiled wine and brandy. On that day and all following ones, the Fair is open for visitors from 10.00 a. m. to 8.00 p.m.

The ticket price, valid not only for all facilities and daily programs, but also for the New Year’s concerts, will be RSD. 150.00 and RSD. 100.00 for group visits. The car parking shall be paid RSD.50.00 per 1 hour.
